Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for orthopedic patients during night shifts, implementing individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes while partnering with families on care goals. Mentor new staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to protocol development to reduce re-admissions. Maintain compliance with Georgia Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar policies in a fast-paced emergency environment. Requires two years of direct patient care experience and current RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
