Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care for orthopedic patients during night shifts, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews to ensure safe, quality delivery of care while documenting progress and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, adapting service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific needs. Mentor staff and students as a preceptor to support workforce development and participate in shared governance activities to drive performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Complete all mandatory education and competency assessments while upholding Wellstar policies, legal standards, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
