Job Summary
Provide and direct patient care for a group of patients before and during surgical procedures using the nursing process. Maintain current Texas RN licensure and obtain Basic Life Support certification within 14 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and recent surgery experience are preferred. This day shift, full-time role supports UT Health Tyler's Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, serving hundreds of thousands of patients annually with a team of over 500 physicians.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified
- Recent surgery experience
