Job Summary
Plan, execute, direct, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care for surgical patients from preoperative intervention through postoperative evaluation. Ensure continuity of care during the surgical experience by meeting patient needs through the nursing process. Maintain current RN NJ licensure and complete required ACLS and BLS certifications within 14 days of hire. This role supports Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center's acute-care community hospital, which includes a state-of-the-art maternity center and ICU.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have RN NJ License
- Current state Registered Nurse license
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey
- Familiar with the Basic Nursing Performance Standards as Outlined in the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act
- Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing
- 2 years minimum as OR experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- BLS certification
