Registered Nurse (RN) OR General Surgery

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with the surgical team to define and implement individualized care plans. Administer medications adhering to the five rights and surgical services policies while maintaining aseptic technique during procedures. Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, function effectively in the scrub role, and accurately document the nursing process and specimen handling. Communicate patient conditions and instrument counts to the surgeon and team leader, reporting discrepancies immediately. Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan, interpret patient data to identify specific needs, and serve as a professional role model. Requires a Connecticut RN license, CPR certification, and surgical or labor and delivery experience including C-sections assistance.
