Registered Nurse (RN) OR General Surgery

Conduct comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of surgical patients, including psychosocial and physical needs. Collaborate with the surgical team to define, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans while adhering to medication safety policies and the five rights. Perform all aspects of patient care, maintaining aseptic technique, managing specimen processing, and functioning in the scrub role during procedures. Document the nursing process and patient status reports timely to ensure safe care transfer. Utilize critical thinking skills for priority setting and delegation under stressful situations. Requires a Registered Nurse license in Connecticut, CPR certification, and specific experience with C-sections.
