Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of surgical patients, including psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural aspects. Collaborate with the surgical team to define, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans while adhering to the five medication rights and safety policies. Perform all aspects of patient care, optimize safety protocols, and document the nursing process timely. Execute the scrub role, prepare rooms with instruments and supplies, maintain aseptic technique, and manage specimen processing. Provide accurate condition reports for care transfers and function autonomously under evidence-based standards. Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and critical thinking in priority setting and delegation. Requires a current Connecticut RN license, CPR certification, and surgical or labor and delivery experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Must have and maintain current a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
- Must have certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire
- Previous surgical or labor and delivery, specifically assisting with C-sections, experience required
