Job Summary
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans using the nursing process, addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs. Utilize evidence-based practices to meet the total healthcare needs of patients and families under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Maintain current CT RN licensure and apply the nursing process to standards of practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess current CT RN licensure
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Currently certified in BLS
- Completion of BLS within the first three months of employment
- ACLS certification (for ED, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endo)
Desired Qualifications
- National certification in specialty
- Acute care hospital experience
- IV skill
- Secondary language skills
- ACLS certification for staff cross trained to ED, CCU, ACU/PACU, and Endo areas
