Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery

Conduct direct and indirect patient care in the OR General Surgery unit using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation. Develop unique education and care plans for each patient while providing appropriate support to family members. Utilize judgment to direct ancillary staff and ensure customer satisfaction regarding patient, family, and physician needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and address age-specific requirements for comfort, privacy, and generalized care. Complete annual competency requirements specific to the assigned area of responsibility. Work four 8-hour shifts per week with an on-call rotation consisting of typically one overnight per week and weekend on-call rotation typically once every 7-8 weeks.
