Job Summary
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical environment. Ensure exceptional patient care throughout the surgical experience by demonstrating strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication within a fast-paced operating room setting. Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, surgical instrumentation protocols, and perioperative patient safety standards. This role supports high-quality patient care within a collaborative operating room environment, offering opportunities to work alongside experienced surgical teams and grow within a dynamic perioperative setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Operating Room (OR) or Perioperative nursing experience preferred.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience circulating a variety of surgical specialties.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative patient safety standards.
