Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse in Oncology – Acute Care at Wellstar Kennestone (Powder Springs, GA). Proactive member of an interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality, safe patient care in an orthopedic or oncology setting. Requires active nursing license (Georgia or compact), associates diploma or nursing degree with less than 1 year direct patient care experience; BLS certification required; RN license (single state) or compact; participates in wellstar governance and evidence-based practice. Various work shifts and a pathway for early access to opportunities in Oncology RN roles; integrate within a unit that emphasizes voice, patient-centered care, and adherence to professional practice standards.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Georgia)
- RN license or multi-state compact (RN-COMPACT)
- Associates Nursing or Diploma; Nursing Bachelor’s preferred
- BLS or ARC-BLS Basic Life Support (Instructor preferred)
- Less than 1 year direct patient care experience
- Completion of accredited nursing program
- Stay compliant with Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics
