Job Summary
Casual OB RN role providing patient- and family-centered obstetric nursing care. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating care transitions, communicating with patients and families about care and discharge planning, supervising CNAs, mentoring peers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Requires WI RN licensure, an associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred), BLS, NRP/STABLE prerequisites, and at least one year of labor and delivery experience; casual shifts consist of two per month. Emphasizes evidence-based practice, infection control, accurate EMR documentation, and commitment to safe, compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in nursing required
- Current WI Registered Nurse license required
- BLS required upon hire
- NRP completed before end of orientation
- STABLE completed before end of orientation
- At least one year of labor and delivery experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred (optional)
