Job Summary
Perform comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their relationships for cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical patients. Formulate individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpret trends in patient populations to achieve best practice outcomes. Conduct patient care in a patient and family-centered manner, advocating for rights and resolving issues while coordinating healthcare and transition planning services. Document all activities per standards and evaluate processes to anticipate variances and revise care plans. Make clinical decisions based on experience and population data while promoting team development. Requires a BSN (or ADN with BSN completion within five years), one year of acute care experience, and BLS certification. Full-time days shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., 3–12 hours) with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Associate's degree (ADN) with completion of BSN within 5 years of start date
- Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia
- Privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association
