Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate hospital personnel to maintain continuity of patient care when unit managers are absent. Make patient care assignments based on staff ability and needs, evaluating care provided by others and adjusting workflows accordingly. Visit nursing units to oversee care, assess census and acuity levels, and collaborate with the Resource Optimization Center for efficient patient distribution. Respond to emergency codes, direct staff during crises, and escalate issues through the chain of command while notifying on-call personnel of surgery needs. Manage supply chain logistics for medications, equipment, and linen in partnership with supply leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
- BLS Basic Life Support

- Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification
