Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for evening shift overseeing resident care in a long-term care facility. Responsibilities include assigning staff per policy, promoting teamwork, completing rounds, ensuring timely and appropriate nursing interventions, reviewing and revising care plans with Charge Nurses, delivering resident/family teaching, actively participating in direct patient care, addressing resident needs and safety, coordinating activities across the facility, monitoring compliance with standards, handling crisis situations professionally, and communicating action plans to the Director of Nursing. Requires current RN license in the working state and prior long-term care supervisory/experience; strong communication, multitasking, and physical ability to assist with residents and equipment. Compensation range: $63,943 - $106,407 annually; benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state you will be working
- Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred
- Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with residents, visitors, and staff
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage time, and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to transfer and move residents who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment
- Ability to perform necessary documentation
- Visual acuity
- Must be able to manage a diversity of activities
