Job Summary
Graduate Nurse residency in Orthopedic Surgery/Med-Surg: participates in Nurse Residency Program under supervision of Clinical Education Team; collects and organizes patient data, performs nursing assessments, develops and revises care plans with multidisciplinary teams, provides prescribed treatments and discharge teaching, documents care and variations, supports quality improvement initiatives, and adheres to organizational policies including licensure and infection control; prepares for licensure renewal and maintains professional development through classes, workshops, and peer support.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- Graduate Nurse licensure accepted prior to NCLEX testing date
- Current RN license recognized by the state/nursing board (compact/multistate license required)
- BSN degree preferred by employer
- Graduate Nurse/Residency program participation required or expected
- Ability to complete required clinical competencies and validation requirements under supervision
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality, infection control, and safety policies
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- No prior experience required for Graduate Nurse role (entry-level)
