Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments, collect patient data, and develop care plans under the direct supervision of a licensed RN in the Neuroscience Med-Surg unit. Manage clinical situations, perform treatments, and provide discharge teaching while adhering to infection control and medication administration policies. Document all patient care variations, implement QI processes, and fulfill unit calls to adjust staffing based on census and acuity. Complete all clinical competencies, validation requirements, and professional development workshops for the Nurse Residency Program.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing
- Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina
- BLS
- NCLEX testing date provided prior to hire
- Passing score on NCLEX
- Licensure with SC State Board of Nursing
- ADN or BSN degree from an accredited institution/program recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education or the S.C. State Board of Nursing
