Job Summary
Assess patients, develop individualized plans of care, and provide direct clinical direction in an acute inpatient medical surgical setting. Monitor patient status, validate priorities with the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate discharge planning, educate patients and families, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while maintaining accurate documentation. This Nurse Residency Program supports new graduates with less than one year of experience, offering core clinical training, simulation labs, and mentorship. The cohort begins December 7th, 2026, with a variable schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State
- Licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Must graduate 45 days or more prior to the start date
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
