Job Summary
Manage and lead a specific nursing unit by evaluating resources, delegating tasks, and directing the nursing process from systematic data collection through care plan development and revision. Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs while ensuring safe staffing, correcting unprofessional behavior, and providing guidance during emergencies. Provide and supervise nursing care including medication administration, lab draws, and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations. Collect and analyze resident data to develop individualized care plans, maintain accurate records, and communicate care needs effectively to the interdisciplinary team. Monitor medications, follow controlled substance procedures, and participate in QA programs, audits, and continuing education to maintain licensure and knowledge of health regulations.
Required Qualifications
- current registration, as a Registered Nurse, in the State of Minnesota
- successfully completed or seek certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and emergency care for the health care provider
- Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community
- Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree
