Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for clinical oversight of day-to-day operations in psychiatric hospital units, providing patient care in a therapeutic setting, following physician orders, completing assessments, initiating and updating treatment plans, directing patient care, delivering group and individual therapy/education, coordinating intake and continuum of care, applying treatment and restraints or seclusion interventions, educating families, and ensuring timely emergency care. Duties include IV administration and venipuncture, developing current nursing care plans, reviewing staffing, and supporting discharge planning in geriatric mental health care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Registered Nursing (RN) Degree
- Current State Registered Nursing (RN) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Current CPI Certification
- Associates or better education
- Travel required
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
- One (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferably in geriatrics and/or mental health
