Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for nights at Chicago Behavioral Hospital in Des Plaines, IL. Schedule is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, three shifts per week, with every other weekend. Responsible for assessing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the health team, providing direct and indirect care, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and document tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges, using the nursing process in alignment with CBH’s philosophy and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
- Currently licensed by the Illinois State Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment
- ability to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (availability of this preference)
