Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures. Assist with activities of daily living, supervise nursing assistants, and monitor resident status to notify physicians of changes. Develop individualized care plans, complete clinical documentation, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges. Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Requires current active RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and minimum one year of clinical experience. Full-time position with a $10,000 sign-on bonus, shift differentials, and tuition reimbursement at Signature Healthcare of Muncie.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience
- Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound clinical judgment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Long-term care experience
- Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role
