Job Summary
Monitor patient conditions, assess needs, and interpret symptoms to communicate with physicians. Collaborate on individualized care plans, perform routine procedures like blood pressure checks and injections, and administer medications per orders. Inspect facilities to maintain hygiene and safety, provide emergency medical care, and supervise nursing assistants. Maintain excellent charting and attend educational workshops to expand capabilities. This full-time role at a San Diego correctional clinic offers 8-hour shifts with opportunities for temp-to-perm status and state benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year RN experience within the last 3 years
- Full-time
- Must have a current and active RN license
- Must have a current and active BLS from American Heart Association
- Must have clean background
- Contractual but renewable
- A valid nursing license
