Job Summary
Educate patients and families through the continuum of care while developing individualized plans of care for the Labor & Delivery population. Serve as role models to Level I nurses, mentor students and colleagues, and conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective. Identify impending changes in patient conditions to initiate corrective action, use equipment and technology correctly, and participate in evidence-based changes to clinical care. Apply findings from efficient literature searches to practice and delegate non-nursing duties to maximize efficiency. This full-time night shift position involves a 36-hour workweek with a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule and every-other-weekend rotation. Candidates must hold a current Maryland RN license, pass the NCLEX, and possess at least one year of RN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Passing score on NCLEX
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Current Maryland State nursing license
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- No nicotine use
- No marijuana use
