Job Summary
Assess patient needs using a population-based approach while demonstrating knowledge of professional standards, accreditation regulations, and LVN scope of practice. Lead or support unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with scope of practice and regulatory standards. Maintain current CA State licensure, CPR certificate, NRP certification, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certification within six months of hire. Hold at least one year of NICU experience and graduate from an accredited RN program. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience for charge nurse roles and National Certification in an area of expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
- Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current CPR certificate
- NRP certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department
- At least 1 year of NICU experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and/or training in leadership
- National Certification in area of expertise (NCC or CCRN)
