Job Summary

PRN Registered Nurse in the NICU at Denver Health for a 26-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients and families, maintaining detailed reports and records, monitoring vital signs, adapting care plans based on patient responses, preparing for and assisting with exams/treatments, coordinating with the health care team, supervising less experienced staff, and providing health education and disease prevention guidance. Unit operates at a 1:2.5 nurse-to-patient ratio with a family-centered care approach and an interprofessional team including social workers, pharmacists, therapists, and others. Shift: Nights. Education and licensure requirements include an ADN/ASN, RN license (DORA), BLS, and NRP within 6 months; EPIC documentation experience preferred. Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
  • RN license in good standing (DORA)
  • BLS Basic Life Support
  • NRP after 6 months of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months
  • Experience: One year in direct patient care preferred
