Job Summary
13-week NICU contract role for an RN with BLS/NRP; responsibilities span the full nursing process from assessment to discharge planning, including coordinating with physicians and health-care teams, leading patient care activities, and providing patient and family education. Requires strong clinical judgment, ability to document and communicate effectively, and capability to manage varied patient care duties in neonatal intensive care. Licensure in NY or CT is required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing required with Bachelor’s preferred; 1-2 years of related experience suggested. Contract involves on-site, hospital-based care in Danbury, CT area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, required
- BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed
