Job Summary
Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and defining interventions for patients, families, and friends. Reviews physician prescriptions, communicates care plans to the healthcare team, and coordinates with providers while providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting physical and psychological status. Teaches healthcare requirements by instructing patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Evaluates patient care by measuring health outcomes and modifying care plans as needed. Maintains a safe environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Documents services in patient records and keeps equipment operating through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Works rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays with a 7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
- An active license in the state of practice
- The ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- The ability to communicate effectively with others
- The ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical environment
