Job Summary
Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and defining interventions while providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families. Review physician prescriptions, communicate care plans to the healthcare team, and evaluate patient outcomes against therapeutic standards. Teach patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication regulations, and legal standards while documenting all services in patient records. Keep equipment operational and supplies stocked through preventive maintenance and expediting orders. Work rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends at Avera St Mary's Hospital, with an active RN license required upon hire.
Required Qualifications

- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
