Job Summary
Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient neuroscience med-surg setting, fostering patient/family-centered care. Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and validate priorities with the interdisciplinary team. Deliver direct patient care consistent with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act while monitoring quality, ensuring safety, and coordinating discharge planning. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory agency requirements, and infection control protocols. Work night shifts, including weekends and holidays, with on-call availability. Report to a supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Night shift availability
- Weekend work availability
- Holiday work availability
- On-call work availability
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- One year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
