Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse (Neuro Med/Surg) provides patient-centered care using the nursing process in a neurology medicine/surgical unit. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care; delivering relationship-based, culturally competent care; partnering with patients and families; coordinating safe, high-quality care through interdisciplinary rounds; maintaining timely documentation; participating in performance improvement and shared governance; adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements; and serving as a preceptor/mentor to develop a skilled nursing workforce. Requires active RN licensure, BLS, and a minimum of five years of direct patient care, with a focus on evidence-based practice and efficient, compassionate care in a hospital setting in Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's in Nursing (Required)
- RN license (Single State) or RN-COMPACT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Critical thinking and time management skills
- Experience in nursing process, patient-centered care, and documentation
- Precepting/mentoring capabilities (preferred)
- Interdisciplinary teamwork and evidence-based practice
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., TJC)
