Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse in Neuro Med/Surg on Day shift. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the RN provides individualized, evidence-based, patient-centered care across the neuro med/surg continuum, practicing within the Wellstar governance and professional practice framework. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment through evaluation), coordinating care and documentation, ensuring culturally competent care, promoting patient and family engagement, leading and participating in interdisciplinary rounds and performance improvement, and serving as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses. Requires active RN licensure, BLS, at least 5 years of direct patient care experience, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; fast-paced environment; critical thinking; time management; documentation proficiency
- Nurse licensure in Georgia; adherence to Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act; adherence to ANA Code of Ethics
