Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit, implementing evidence-based care plans and bedside teaching. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with families to align care goals. Mentor preceptors and staff to support workforce development and participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities. Maintain compliance with Georgia Nurse Practice Act, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS, and critical thinking skills for a night shift role at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Less than 1 year completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
