Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Neuro IMCU, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews to ensure safe, high-quality care while documenting outcomes and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, adapting service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific needs. Maintain licensure and complete mandatory education, serving as a preceptor or mentor to support the professional development of other nurses. Uphold Wellstar policies, TJC safety goals, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act while participating in performance improvement initiatives and protocol development.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Less than 1 year completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
