Job Summary
Experienced ICU RN sought for the Neuroscience ICU (NSICU) at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. An 18-bed adult unit treating complex neurological patients including ischemic/hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, brain tumors, neuromuscular disorders, and post-interventional neuro-surgical patients. Unit emphasizes collaboration with Neuro Intensivists, APPs, and neurosurgeons; average RN/Patient ratio 1:2. Role includes exposure to state-of-the-art monitoring and therapies; BSN required with licensure in Virginia; BLS required and ACLS strongly preferred (obtain within 3 months). Shift is 3 x 12-hour days/nights with sign-on and relocation bonuses available; opportunities for professional development and education support.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required
- ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ICU RN experience
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
