Registered Nurse (RN), Neuro ICU, FT Nights

Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Neuro ICU, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and patient teaching while documenting safe, high-quality care. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support the professional development of other nurses and students. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research utilization, and protocol development to enhance patient outcomes and safety. Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications while upholding Wellstar policies and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Requires 5 years of direct patient care experience and an Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in nursing. Night shift rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (RN - Multi-state Compact)
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills
