Job Summary
Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized, high-quality patient care in the Neuro ICU. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews to promote safe, quality care while maintaining timely documentation. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching, adapting service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific needs. Mentor and precept other nurses and staff to support workforce development and model professional practice. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research utilization, and protocol development to enhance patient outcomes and reduce adverse events. Complete all mandatory education and competency assessments while upholding Wellstar policies, accreditation standards, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Single State or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ARC-ALS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC-BLS)
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills
- Night shift availability (United States of America)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Nursing degree (Preferred)
- ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days)
