Job Summary
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for interventional, stroke, and neuro-surgical patients. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes. Advocate for patients and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education. Requires 1+ years of critical care experience, BSN degree, and New York RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications. Salary range is $54.48 to $74.72 per hour with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Good Samaritan University Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center serving over 100,000 patients annually.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a Critical Care (Neuro ICU, CCU, ICU, CTICU, CVICU, etc.) or step-down unit
- Cardiac and invasive monitoring knowledge
- arrhythmia interpretation skills
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Passion for the Neuro ICU / Neuro Step-Down
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
