Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate neonatal patient care using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Partner with families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and just-in-time teaching to align care with patient goals. Coordinate safe, quality care via timely documentation and inclusive interdisciplinary communication while participating in performance improvement and shared governance activities. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce. Complete mandatory education, competency assessments, and population-specific training. Uphold Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards, TJC safety goals, and Wellstar policies. Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience required; BLS, NRP, and RN license mandatory. Night shift, part-time.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience
- Night shift availability
