Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care for neonates in the NICU, performing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Partner with families through bedside reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and just-in-time teaching to set individualized care goals. Coordinate safe quality care via timely documentation and interdisciplinary communication while adhering to evidence-based practice and Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act standards. Mentor staff and students to support workforce development and participate in shared governance activities. Requires BLS, NRP, and RN license with a minimum of five years direct patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - Single State or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC-BLS) or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support (ARC-NALS) or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Part-Time/ Night shift availability
