Job Summary
Provide nursing care in the PACU, including assessments of the patient/family, collecting and analyzing data to coordinate care, developing individualized care plans, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, executing interventions, evaluating outcomes, and educating patients and families while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to unit goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or other degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
- Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS certification
- 9 months of professional nursing experience
- respiratory fit testing as part of safety standards
- ability to perform and document comprehensive patient/family assessments
- participate in interdisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with health team
- maintain confidentiality of patient/family information
- education of new staff and involvement in achieving hospital/unit goals
