Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and provide patient teaching while documenting progress in electronic medical records. Manage patient assignments, delegate tasks to coworkers, and supervise unit operations as a Charge Nurse when required. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining safety standards for infection control and equipment use. Work nights from 7pm to 7:30am, rotating weekends and holidays, with a full-time 36-hour schedule. Requires current Washington State RN licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Washington State RN Licensure
  • Ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients
  • HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
  • Manual dexterity, light physical effort, ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
  • Manual dexterity of hands and feet to ambulate 8 to 12 hours per shift
  • Physical strength to perform CPR (bed/floor), lift and push/pull 60 to 300 pounds (with assistance)
  • Keen mental faculties to perform assessment and decision-making skills in the management of acutely ill patients
  • Good reading eyesight
  • Ability to see clearly 20 feet or more

  • Demonstrates competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum
  • Demonstrates competency on equipment listed on department specific checklist

  • Nights with rotating weekends and holidays, 7pm-7:30am

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience as an acute care registered nurse
  • Minimum one year of RN experience for specialty nursing departments
  • PEARS (AHA Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization) certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire
