Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments, create individualized care plans, and deliver skilled nursing care including medication administration and wound management in a Long-Term Care setting. Safely administer treatments per physician orders, monitor resident responses, and ensure accurate documentation aligned with CNO standards and regulatory protocols. Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to support resident-centered care, while providing clinical leadership and mentoring to RPNs and support staff. Champion residents' well-being by communicating with families and facilitating meaningful activities. Full-time, part-time, or casual 8-hour shifts available; CNO required with BSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Solid clinical judgment and ability to manage complex resident needs
- In-depth knowledge of nursing care principles, best practices, and relevant legislation
- Ability to manage time, prioritize effectively, and respond calmly in high-pressure situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care
- Open to full-time hours, part-time hours, or casual
- Shifts: 8-hour shifts (7:00am 3:00pm / 3:00pm 11:00pm / 11:00pm 7:00am)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or a similar healthcare setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring nursing staff
