Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Mom/Baby unit with Denver Health. Provides care to post-partum patients and their newborns on a 28-bed unit; responsibilities include assessing patients and families, administering medications, documenting and reporting changes, coordinating with the health-care team, and educating families on health and disease prevention. Requires an Associate’s Degree, RN license in Colorado (DORA), BLS, and NRP within 6 months of hire. Shifts are Nights, 0.9 FTE, with a focus on safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate patient care in a high-volume Labor/Delivery environment. Emphasis on adherence to ANA standards and collaboration to promote positive patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- RN license in Colorado (DORA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire
- Able to work nights and fulfill 0.9 FTE schedule
- Experience in direct patient care preferred (one year)
- Knowledge of ANA standards of professional nursing practice
- Experience with EPIC documentation preferred
