Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation while coordinating care through interdisciplinary rounds and bedside shift reports. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity, ensuring timely documentation and safe quality outcomes. Uphold Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act standards, American Nurses Association ethics, and Wellstar policies while participating in shared governance, performance improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support the recruitment and retention of qualified healthcare team members.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Experience with direct patient care
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Ability to hold basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment
- Ability to respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
