Job Summary
Registered Nurse on 6B Medical Unit for a night-shift schedule (7 pm–7 am) in Newark, DE. Works three 12-hour shifts per week on an inpatient unit serving adults 18+ with diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and altered mental status. Provides relationship-based care to patients and families under guidance of the unit’s care models; unit handles a variety of acute/chronic medical needs with 5-6 patients per RN. Requires RN license in Delaware or a compact state; BSN preferred or commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years; BLS required. Ideal candidate has 3+ years med/surg nursing experience and is prepared for an inpatient, acute-care setting with a diverse patient population.
Required Qualifications
- RN License in Delaware or a Compact State
- BSN preferred or committed to acquiring BSN within 3 years of hire
- At least three years of med/surg experience as an RN is required
- BLS required
