Job Summary
Provide quality nursing care on the Medical-Surgical Unit-I night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) in collaboration with the medical staff, implementing the Hospital's mission through established policies and performance improvement activities. Assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine treatment modalities based on principles of growth and development within an assigned unit. Implement individualized professional nursing care for patients of all ages while adhering to the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. Complete required certifications including BLS and ACLS, and fulfill annual continuing education in cerebrovascular disease. Every other weekend rotation is required, with weekly schedules varying based on department needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- NJ RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Enrollment in BSN program
- Active NJ RN License
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Complete 8 hours of continuing education in the area of cerebrovascular disease annually
- Night Shift
- Part Time
- Every other weekend required
- Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
