Job Summary
Manage hospitalized inpatients and hospital-based outpatients by synthesizing best practice protocols with patient data to decide on the best course of action. Identify and respond to changes in clinical condition using SBAR format, include patients and families in the plan of care, and ensure readiness for emergency situations including code team roles. Coordinate care across the continuum with providers, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and actively engage in quality improvement practices and department operations through assigned meetings and committees. This role may include patient assignments and floating duties based on RN licensure and established guidelines. The position requires a rotating schedule of days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with a 68-hour pay period.
Required Qualifications
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification - Crisis Prevention Institute within 180 Days
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
- Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily
