Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in the Medical Dialysis Unit. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with families for bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds. Coordinate safe quality patient care through timely documentation and diverse interdisciplinary communication. Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, mandatory education, and population-specific training. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses and staff. Promote evidence-based practice by participating in value analysis, data collection, and research utilization activities. Uphold wellstar Health Systems safety absolutes and TJC Patient Safety Goals. This PRN day shift covers 7 am to 7 pm. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in nursing
- Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing
- Reg Nurse (Single State) 1.00 Upon Hire
- RN - Multi-state Compact 1.00 Upon Hire
- Basic Life Support 2.00
- Less than 1 year Completion of accredited/ approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
