Registered Nurse RN Medical Surgical Oncology

Job Summary
RN on the Medical/Surgical Oncology unit provides care to oncology patients. Applies nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; collaborates with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards. Responsibilities include assessing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and discharge planning needs; formulating and executing a plan of care with patient/family input; coordinating care and ensuring effective communication across care teams; delegating and supervising other licensed staff; documenting care and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Must hold a current RN license and BLS certification; background requirements include state-specific licensure provisions and, in some cases, additional clearances. Shift: DAY 7:00AM - 7:30PM with rotating weekends/holidays; opportunities include self-scheduling and shift differentials (18% night differential and $3/hour weekend differential). Preferred qualifications include Bachelor's degree and professional certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- BLS certification is required.
- Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
